Manisha S. Kamat, M.D.

Dr. Manisha S. Kamat, MDManisha S. Kamat, M.D. is a PA licensed psychiatrist who specializes in the treatment of mood, anxiety, and stress disorders by offering adult individual psychotherapy and psychopharmacology services. She is a diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She earned her Doctor of Medicine degree with Honors from the University of Bombay in India. She completed Psychiatry Residencies at the Topiwala National Medical College in Bombay, India and at Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA. She completed a Psychoanalytic Fellowship Program at the Psychoanalytic Center of Philadelphia. Distinctions and honors include: Award for Clinical Excellence from Drexel University College of Medicine, The Gary Kirschbaum M.D. Award for Excellence in Consultation and Liason Psychiatry; the Major General Jenning’s Gold Medal Prize from the College of Physicians and Surgeons in Bombay, India. Her post-graduate training has included clinical rotations on inpatient psychiatric units, community outpatient departments, and hospital emergency services. Dr. Kamat most recently served as a staff psychiatrist at Crozer-Chester Medical Center where she provided inpatient and outpatient psychiatry services along with maintaining an outpatient psychotherapy practice. She holds professional membership in the American Psychiatric Association, the Pennsylvania Psychiatric Society, and the Bombay Psychiatric Society. She is fluent in English, Marathi, and Hindi.
 

Joel B. Capucao, M.D.

Psychaitrist in Exton PA Joel B. Capucao, M.D. is a PA licensed psychiatrist and diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He has completed Psychiatry Residencies at Mt. Sinai Hospital in Queens, NY, and Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. He served as Chief Resident at Temple University Hospital during which time he was awarded the Psychiatry Resident of the Year from Pfizer and the McLaughlin Foundation. His training has included clinical rotations in forensic settings, the Veterans Administration Medical Centers, inpatient hospital units, and outpatient community mental health centers. He earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from University of the East Ramon Magsaysay, Quezon City, in the Phillipines. He is currently an attending physician for the Mainline Health system on staff at Bryn Mawr, Lankenau, and Paoli hospitals and the American Day program in Exton, PA. He holds professional memberships in the American Psychiatric Association and the Association of Practicing Phillippine Physicians. He is fluent in English and Tagalog.  Dr. Capucao provides clinical diagnostic evaluation, consultation, and medication management for individuals 18 and older. He is highly experienced in treating a wide range of behavioral health concerns.
   

Roel Compendio, M.D.

Psychaitrist in Exton PARoel D. Compendio is a licensed psychiatrist and diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.  He completed a Psychiatry Residency at Hahnemann University Hospital - MCP in Philadelphia.   He earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from University of the East-Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center, Quezon City, Phillippines.  Earlier in his career he served as a staff psychiatrist at Crozer Chester Medical Center and worked in Consultation/Liason Psychiatry at the Medical/Surgical Unit, Crisis Service as well as the outpatient program at  Community Hospital Mental Health Services.  He then joined the Mainline Health System where he served as the Medical Director of the Department of Psychiatry at Paoli Memorial Hospital, as well as staff psychiatrist at the American Day Treatment Center in Exton, PA.  Dr. Compendio currently maintains a full-time private practice in Paoli and Exton, PA where he provides general psychiatry services to adults 18 years and older.



 

Theodore S. Nam, M.D.

Exton PsychotherapistTheodore S. Nam, M.D., DFAPA, is a PA licensed general psychiatrist who offers office-based individualized consultation, evaluation, and treatment of a broad spectrum of psychiatric illnesses. He offers psychotherapy, medication management (pharmacotherapy), and the combination of psychotherapy and psychopharmacology. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and a Distinguished Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association. He earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences (USUHS) in Bethesda, MD. He completed specialty training in General Psychiatry at the Letterman Army Medical Center, Presidio of San Francisco, CA. He has worked in diverse patient care, academic, and leadership settings to include Walter Reed Army Medical Center, Coatesville VAMC, and Phoenixville Hospital. Currently, he is an attending psychiatrist at the Brandywine Behavioral Health Pavilion. His professional memberships include the American Psychiatric Association (APA), the American Medical Association (AMA), and the Association of Military Surgeons of Uniformed Serves (AMSUS).
   

Marija Petrovic, M.D.

Chester County PsychotherapistMarija Petrovic, M.D. is a PA, DE, and NY licensed psychiatrist. She earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Leipzig Medical School in Germany. After completing her practicum at a psychiatric inpatient hospital in Germany, she continued her residency training at Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA. She graduated from residency training in 2006 and earned board certification by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in May 2007. She also trained at the Psychoanalytic Center of Philadelphia from 2007 to 2009, where she enriched her skills in psychodynamic psychotherapy. Since earning her degree, she has been engaged in a wide variety of psychiatric settings including, correctional facilities, crisis management units, and outpatient community mental health clinics. She has acquired significant experience in treating a broad spectrum of psychiatric disorders, especially trauma-related conditions, mood and anxiety disorders, substance abuse, and thought disorders. Her clinical approach is one that incorporates a biopsychosocial model to assess and treat psychiatric disorders. She also aims to integrate mindfulness techniques into her psychotherapeutic model. Dr. Petovic provides psychopharmacology and psychotherapy services to individuals ages 16 and older.
